Permaculture Pathways Silver Certification

Silver Certification

This is the most popular certification choice!

When designing your gardening or landscaping project, it's important to keep in mind the 3 ethics of permaculture: earth care, people care, and fair share. Additionally, it's important to avoid using invasive or toxic plants, and instead incorporate 3 native plants. To create a cohesive and visually appealing design, include 3 stepping stones or a pathway and use natural mulch only. Planted areas should have evergreen ground cover and be fully planted with ground cover from spring through fall for easy maintenance. Incorporating an artistic element can add a unique touch to your project. Remember to follow principles such as observing and interacting with your environment, obtaining a yield (such as producing one human food crop), self-regulating and accepting feedback, producing no waste, integrating rather than segregating, and creatively using and valuing change.
